So I found myself needing to take the bus again today for the first time in seven or eight months... Dropped my car off to have some work done, and bussing in from there. The route for the first leg crossed the new light-rail line three times getting to the Federal Center Station that used to be a daily destination for me. At each crossing, there was a beeping sound in the driver's area, and I wonder now if they have some sort of low-power radio-thing at railroad crossings to alert the drivers so they'll know to stop even when they can't see the crossing.
If not, it'd seem a good idea to have such a thing...
