Public Transportation Commuting: The Next Generation©®™℠

So, tomorrow I'm taking the older daughter around and about via public transportation to the various college campuses that she's expressed interest in: Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design and University of Colorado (Denver).

And we're doing so by public transportation, as much as anything else because she's expressed no particular interest in learning to drive, or in getting a driver's license.

It's been over four years since I was commuting by bus (the light rail wasn't operational in our area at the time), though I've taken the bus a few times since for short hops, and the light rail a couple of times into Downtown Denver.  I'll be interested to see how much motivation taking public transportation provides towards getting the driver's license. I don't think she really gets just how much walking is actually involved, since there is no bus route that stops at RMCAD, and the light rail, while it does stop at Auraria, stops a fair way from the campus proper.

Guess we'll see...
